Internships - Innovative, Effective and Engaging

One of the most dynamic features of Bethany's B. A. (Rel.) and B. A. (C.E.) degree programs is the required six-month ministry experience, under the supervision of a seasoned and effective ministry professional.

Internships typically occur following your third year of study, running from June to December, with a return to campus for your final semester. This nine credit-hour course of study will expose you to a wide variety of ministry experiences including the requirement for B. A. (Rel.) students to preach six sermons.

During this process of intense integration of classroom learning with real life ministry, you will be involved in a full range of practical ministry related to your particular field of study. Your field supervisor will provide guidance and mentoring each step of the way. As a result of this field experience, you will be better prepared upon graduation to assume the responsibilities of leadership in Christ's Church.

Bethany's internship program was launched in 1999. Since that time program participants, both students and field supervisors, have agreed that it is a highly effective innovation in ministry preparation.
