Where are They Now?
Uta Chase ('51)
On December 29, Uta fell and broke her hip. Although she is limited in getting around, she is a faithful prayer warrior, and those who know her value her friendship and prayers. She served the Lord as a Wesleyan medical missionary in Africa for nineteen years and as a staff member at BBC for sixteen years. Pray for Uta as she recovers from surgery and for wisdom in making plans for the future.
Kristina Draher ('04)
After attending Bethany, Kristina completed her degree in Christian Education at Indiana Wesleyan University in August 2005, and two years later she bought a house in Jonesboro, Indiana.
Kristina has been working for almost five years as a Program Support Specialist with online students in the nursing program at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is also assisting with work on two grants, one for helping nurses in Indiana and another for a community outreach program called Global Youth Service Day, which is a semester long community service program that involves many teams all around the county.
Kristina and her daughter, Kayla, enjoy traveling. In 2007, they took a high school trip to Europe for 14 days, and they are taking a Hawaiian cruise this March for Kayla’s senior year. Future plans include college for Kayla and graduate school for Kristina as she looks at getting a Master’s Degree in Counseling.
Daniel ('06) & Esther Veltkamp
Dan is currently serving as solo pastor at Wells Wesleyan Church in Wells, NY. He and his wife, Esther, are expecting their first child and can't wait for the day he/she is born.
